87

“87”

That is the running total of my Overtime for this month of December and the month isn’t over yet. The nos. may be normal for you or probably not significant or even none sensical at all. But for me,haha! It’s different. I believe this is the highest overtime I rendered in my working life so far in my current employer.

Now, if you wonder what are the things you could do or witness for in 87 hours. Here are some…

For 87 hours, you could probably finish all episode for all seasons of How I Met Your Mother and squeeze in some series with high possibility you’ll finish the whole seasons too. Or, could watch more than 40 movies.

For 87 hours, you could cross the Brooklyn Bridge for 43 times back and forth (By foot).

For 87 hours, a Worker Bee has already completed half of his life cycle.

(Ain’t this funny?! Imagine, bees are already synonymous with the word “work” or “busy” and for some funny reason the scientist has decided to add the word “Worker” in front of its already busy name just to show that there is a bee who works harder than other busy bees. Proves to me that even bees can be lazy!!!Lol)

Enough with the example! Knowing about the “Worker Bee” and “Working Me” somehow gave me the impression that we have something is common and end up about that life span thing. Lol

I’m pretty sure you get my point and clearly this means that my social is really going to South. Am I sad? Of course not! Last time I’ve checked, I still have 300+ friends in Facebook. If you are worried, oh please! Don’t be; because I’m confident that I still have skills in breaking some ice in the crowd and building some bridges with them… it just that…I rarely use this so-called “skills”. Lol

Anyways, after I ran my total OT for this month, I just decided to go home early and not to spend another hour of overtime for today. Having that thought in my head…I felt shame. Yes! Shame on me for working my ass out and dedicating 87 hours of my breathing life to work that I have no idea when the increase will be added in my payslip; not to mention the chaos that other people made which main reason I why we need to spend longer hours (I just hope it will be prorated); shame for giving 87 hours of my breathing life and passing out Worker Bee’s half of its lifetime; shame on government (Tax) for taking part of hard earned money and having a thought of corrupt govt. officials will just give it to their hoes! We should be taxed only by things we buy not the things we earned!!! 20 freaking percent and where is it?!

Wow! This post should be funny but I starting to feel the hate. Lol

So before this post goes barbaric, I just want to say that despite of 87 hours of overtime, I still feel blessed and thankful. Why? Well, here are the reasons:

1. Overtime is Overtime. So, my employer is legally obliged to pay me and we all know that rates for overtime are quite different than regular us (way better, at least in my company).

2. I always believe in the thought of “Meritocracy”. People will be rewarded for working hard and doing more than what they were expected to do.

3. I’m just kidding about the pathetic social life; I still do have friends that I could really count on. I will be on vacation next month and on March. Finally!!!

4. I’m very close to my goal. Hopefully, this coming year. (Crossing my fingers…including toes) Lol

5. Finally, I still have millions things I could think of, to be happy and thankful for. (I still feel bad about “Worker Bee” though. Really?! That short?)

Once again, I will just end this post by saying have a good life and always appreciate it even if you’re preoccupied.

HAPPPPPYYY NNNEEWWW… (to be continued)
